Roland Juno 106
The Roland Juno 106 is a nice 6 voice poly synth that is good for strings, some leads, effects type noises, etc. These synths tend to be very reliable, and are very cheap these days. I bought this unit back in 1985, and have not a had a problem with it. The portamento function on these synths is also very cool. Midi works great, and I really like the old synths that have plenty of real time buttons and sliders to tweak sounds. This synth is DCO, so it stays in tune with no problems and needs no warm up before playing. I don't use it as much as I used to. My Oberheim Matrix-12 has taken over some of its old duties, but still a useful synth to have around the studio.
